The Peaceful Time

Cagnes Sur Mer  Cote d’Azur French Riviera France

There are many old village in Cote d’Azur. It is a village where you can feel the atmosphere of the Middle Ages around 200 years ago. One of them, The beautiful Cagnes-sur-Mer, is a small hilltop village just inland from the Mediterranean Sea. A really small village with only a few hotels, restaurants, bars and tobacco shops. This is not a place for entertainment. This is a calm place that has nothing to do with the busy days of people living in the city. The place to visit to spend a relaxing time and rest your mind. We can meet The Peaceful time here.

<Chateau Le Cagnard>
Cote d’Azur French Riviera Cegnes Sur Mer Hotel

This village is surrounded by walls. The nice boutique hotel built in that historic building. The entrance here is in a narrow alley that is difficult to find. The interior has a tasteful charm that is different from the modern and gorgeous latest hotels. Breakfast is great, so get up early and sit at the table with a view of the terrace.  The Peaceful time, this is the highlight of the accommodation.

<Le Cagnard>
Cote d’Azur French Riviera Cegnes Sur Mer Restaurant

The restaurant in the Château Le Cagnard. It’s the same place as breakfast. All the nice dishes made in the kitchen, which is probably not big, are really delicious. A wonderful restaurant that uses local ingredients and looks beautiful. The story was the best time in the area.

Cote d’Azur French Riviera Tourist destination

The village that retains its medieval appearance. The village is surrounded by a castle wall that prevents outsiders from entering, and the strong gate at the entrance remains the same as before. In the center of the village is the Cathedrale Notre Dame de la Nativite and the Square, from which the buildings are lined up in a radial pattern. This is a typical village design. Visit the nearby Rosaire Chapelle also, which was designed by Henri Matisse.

<Saint Paul>
Cote d’Azur French Riviera Tourist destination

The most beautiful, well-maintained and tourist-friendly village in the area. Shops line up from the entrance of the village to the central chapelle, and there are many gallery shops of artists. The village where Marc Chagall once lived for 20years, that is why he is focusing on art.
